Associate Director - Investment Analyst

Responsibilities

Support the development of capital market themes that inform risk and opportunities across asset sectors
Support MII’s quarterly asset allocation plan for the US general account (QAA)
Conduct and report quarterly relative value analysis across asset sectors as a key input for QAA
Monitor MII asset gain/loss programs
Oversee execution and track the progress of the MII asset allocation by the MIM team
Partner with Investment Finance to submit / verify investment assumptions for Plan and projection
Support MII on product, capital, earning and other line-of-business initiatives across US Business, MetLife Holdings, M&A, Risk, Treasury, Finance, and reinsurance
Support the development of investment and pricing strategies, incorporating macroeconomic, market, asset supply, ALM, and business considerations

Required

7+ years industry and related asset management experience
Good understanding of capital market's structure and dynamics
Good understanding of insurance industry balance sheets, financial analysis and regulatory regimes
Good understanding of fixed income and equity investments and their role within insurance portfolios under multiple regulatory regimes
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred

Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred
