Material Analyst Cycle Counter
Emerson is a global leader in automation technology and software, and they are seeking a Material Analyst Cycle Counter to ensure accurate inventory counts within their manufacturing site. This role is responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, verifying inventory accuracy, and collaborating with teams to minimize discrepancies and improve processes.

Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled cycle counts of products and materials based on a predetermined plan or as directed by the inventory control manager
Physically count and verify the quantity of items on hand against the records in the ERP system. Identify and rectify any discrepancies
Enter accurate count data into the inventory system and maintain documentation of cycle count activities, results and corrective actions taken
Collaborate with the inventory control teams to investigate the root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues
Continuously seek ways to improve the cycle counting process, streamline workflows, and enhance overall inventory accuracy
Work closely with warehouse personnel, operations teams, and other relevant departments to ensure accurate inventory counts and resolve discrepancies. Assist in the training of new employees on the proper use of inventory management transactions and procedures
Assist in periodic audits and physical inventory counts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Monitor the quality and condition of inventory items, identifying any damaged or expired items and reporting them to the appropriate parties. Execute the scrapping process for approved E&O disposal
Place all items staged in the put away area in the proper locations and record movement in the ERP system
In depth analysis of physical and digital markers and locations, reconciling inventory and ability to understand discrepancies, produce solutions, and understand the dollar associated with the actions taken
Experience with teams and project management tasks. Accountability to upper-level management for results associated with deadlines
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus
Attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical stamina to perform regular counts, including lifting and moving items as needed
Proficiency in using basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word)
Preferred
Forklift certified – Stand up lift experience preferred
3 years' experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or warehouse operations preferred
Familiarity with inventory management software and systems (SAP preferred)
