Responsibilities
Developing project plans, schedules, and progress reports
Tracking deliverables
Developing and maintaining organized, accessible documentation for each project
Coordinating team activities through clear, timely communication
Managing project risk (eg. timeline, financial, etc.)
Resolving issues arising within each project
Liaising with project team members and functional managers to ensure timely project completion
Additional activities as required
Qualification
Required
Advanced degree (Ph.D. and/or equivalent highly desirable) and 2+ years of related work experience, Masters degree and 5+ years of related work experience or a Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of related work experience
Training and/or experience in biological sciences (molecular biology, cell biology, oncology, virology, immunology or similar)
Demonstratable experience managing projects
Superior communication skills (verbal, written, listening) cross functionally throughout the organization; communicates complex ideas across project boundaries, gaining alignment and persuading others to take action or adopt a different point of view
Strong analytic and critical thinking skills are essential in this role, with demonstrated ability to analyze and comprehend complex programs and situations
Ability to exercise good judgment while under pressure and tight deadlines, along with strong coping skills are required. Must be flexible in adapting to a variety of responsibilities, work assignments, and priorities
Detail-oriented and works independently and productively with minimal direction, routinely exercising initiative and sound judgment
Able to manage multiple projects effectively, ensuring alignment with department/corporate goals
Preferred
Experience using project management software is a plus
