Responsibilities
Manage the operational lifecycle of the PPP, including inquiry review, application coordination, evaluation support, onboarding, and renewals
Act as a trustworthy, tactful liaison between Tribal interests and industry applicants, modeling cultural humility and careful communication
Track Pathways to TrustSM training requirements, enrollment, and completion for all PPP providers
Maintain high-touch, thoughtful communication that reflects the unique sensitivities of bridging Tribal and corporate industry environments
Partner cross-functionally with Tribal Engagement, Technical Assistance, Policy, Finance, Fundraising, and Communications teams
Ensure companies understand that Pathways to TrustSM is a core requirement for PPP participation and foundational to ethical Tribal engagement
Support executives and Tribal-facing staff in navigating training expectations with respect and clarity
Work collaboratively with the Pathways to TrustSM training team to monitor participation and ensure compliance
Communicate expectations with the tact and diplomacy required for companies new to Tribal contexts
Serve as the primary relationship manager for PPP applicants and members
Build strong, culturally sensitive relationships with clean energy companies while upholding standards that protect Tribal sovereignty
Help industry partners understand cultural, ethical, and relational expectations when working with Tribal Nations
Demonstrate emotional intelligence in managing complex or sensitive conversations
Lead industry sponsorship engagement for major Alliance convenings—including:
Cultivate sponsorships with companies that align with Tribal values and sovereignty-centered practices
Navigate these relationships with care, honoring Tribal priorities while meeting corporate expectations for partnership and visibility
Coordinate PPP provider participation at Alliance learning events, convenings, and networking activities
Support relationship-building spaces that bring together Tribal leaders and providers in ways that foster mutual understanding and trust
Ensure provider involvement aligns with Alliance sovereignty safeguards and program standards
Conduct tactful, thorough review of applicants and communicate next steps with cultural sensitivity
Support reference checks, credential verification, safety reviews, and training compliance to safeguard Tribal interests
Uphold high standards while maintaining positive and constructive relationships with providers
Help identify misalignment early and communicate concerns with diplomacy and professionalism
Qualification
Required
5+ years in customer relations, partner engagement, account management, or program management in the clean energy sector (solar installation or development a plus) or related industry
Demonstrated ability to serve as a bridge between diverse stakeholder groups, ideally across cultural contexts
Exceptional emotional intelligence, tact, and communication skills
Strong organizational and project-management skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while coordinating across teams
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience living within or working with Tribal Nations or communities with lived histories of inequity or colonization
Knowledge of renewable energy markets or clean energy project development
Experience with sponsorships or corporate / energy industry partnerships
Deep alignment with Indigenous values, sovereignty, equity, and community-centered partnership
