Responsibilities

Has intermediate knowledge of all areas of the aircraft and assigned work area. Repair, modify, replace, or otherwise perform routine aircraft maintenance work in specialized areas of aircraft
Develop repair schemes utilizing SRM or Engineering data. Conduct operational tests
Communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise
Complete job assignments in a timely manner
Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repair, replacement, or modification
Responsible for accurately clocking to jobs
Perform other duties as assigned
Repair, replace, and rebuild A/C component structures
Possess basic computer skills
Repair & modify flight control surfaces and components
Utilize special installation tools, such as blind rivet guns, etc
Utilize OEM and Engineering drawings to modify aircraft structure
Complete specialized tasks, such as flap peening, cold working, etc
Fabricate repair parts using special shop tooling, such as brakes, stretchers, etc

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum two years of related commercial/military aircraft maintenance experience
Has intermediate knowledge of all areas of the aircraft and assigned work area
Repair, modify, replace, or otherwise perform routine aircraft maintenance work in specialized areas of aircraft
Develop repair schemes utilizing SRM or Engineering data
Conduct operational tests

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; talk or hear; and focus on objects close up
The employee will also be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to handle and climb ladders and aircraft stairs

Preferred

Airframe or Airframe and Powerplant License
