Responsibilities
Work with vendors and counterparties to ensure collateral exceptions are being actively worked and cleared in accordance with trailing obligations and internal instructions. Track progress of both vendors and sellers and report delays or issues to management team for review and handling as needed
Review and respond to collateral exception reporting for loans in due diligence. This includes coordinating exception reporting between the custodian and the collateral vendor and reviewing all seller rebuttals and supporting documentation as necessary
Review and respond to collateral exceptions and rebuttals from potential buyers on loan sales. This includes validating the exception, reviewing the current actions being taken by collateral vendors, and ensuring the collateral files are sent to the buyer and drops are returned to the custodian as necessary
Coordinate with internal asset managers and loan servicers to ensure collateral escalations are being submitted to the collateral vendor as needed
Track progress on trades (purchases and sales) via trade reporting from the collateral vendor. Report delays or issues to management team for review and handling as needed
Support due diligence and asset management in other capacities as needed
Qualification
Required
5 years of experience in similar role
Detail-oriented and organized with an ability to prioritize and simultaneously manage multiple projects and drive to completion, with minimal hands-on guidance
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate expectations with external vendors
Strong organizational skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Knowledge of collateral management is a plus but not required
