Responsibilities

Lead bridge design projects from concept to design and through construction
Coordinate design elements over multiple disciplines
Strong technical ability to provide guidance and oversight of the design process
Review and seal plans, specifications, and estimates for contract bidding as Engineer of Record
Complete designated assignments and report progress to project managers
Mentor, review, and check work of junior staff
Perform field views and attend on-site and off-site meetings
Participate in proposal development, project scoping, and project staffing projections
Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients
Attend professional organization meetings to build relationships and assist with business development

Qualification

Required

Minimum 5 to 8 years of direct experience in the design of transportation projects
BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university is required
Strong work ethic
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PE License required
MicroStation experience required
Proficient knowledge of AASHTO bridge design code, PennDOT bridge design software, and structural analysis programs is required
Ability to perform project site visits

Preferred

PennDOT/PA Turnpike experience preferred
