Responsibilities
Own and evolve our Kubernetes platform (cluster lifecycle, upgrades, networking, autoscaling, policies)
Build and maintain cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC-first)
Improve CI/CD and release safety (progressive delivery, rollbacks, guardrails)
Drive reliability: observability, alerting, incident response, and postmortems that lead to fixes
Improve performance and cost: capacity planning, right-sizing, and spend visibility
Strengthen security across IAM, secrets, image hygiene, and runtime hardening
Support production databases when needed (backups, migrations, basic performance tuning)
Qualification
Required
Strong, hands-on Kubernetes experience in production
Experience with a major cloud provider (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Infrastructure-as-Code skills (Terraform/Pulumi/CloudFormation)
CI/CD experience and a pragmatic approach to reliability and on-call
Comfort with Linux, networking fundamentals, and debugging distributed systems
Ability to automate with code (Python/Go/Bash)
Preferred
Service mesh / ingress at scale, policy-as-code, or multi-cluster patterns
Some production database ops experience (Postgres/MySQL)
