Responsibilities
This is journeyman level work in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures. Work assignments are received from a foreman or other supervisor and are performed independently and in accordance with accepted trade practices. New or unusual work orders are usually accompanied by sketches or blueprints. Work is reviewed through inspection of completed work for quality and compliance with work orders and is further evaluated on the basis of the continued workability of equipment, systems, and fixtures repaired or installed
Qualification
Required
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma
Two years of experience in the construction or repair of secondary electrical systems
Considerable knowledge of the standard practices and methods of the electrical trade
Documented knowledge in the use and care of tools of the trade
Documented knowledge to read and work from blueprints and sketches
