Responsibilities
Develop and initiate the most effective and innovative recruitment initiatives for connecting with and attracting student talent
Serve as main point of contact for defined University Relations book of business - academic partnerships and subsequent student relationships
Proactively build relationships and engage with student talent pipelines with a focus on market capture
Act as a resource for students exploring opportunities and seeking guidance on resume best practices, submitting applications, interviewing, etc. while, ultimately, providing a top-notch candidate experience
Execute all activities for the entire recruiting cycle, including evaluating applications and/or resumes, interviewing, extending offers, onboarding communications, etc. for supported programs
Represent UPMC at external and internal functions (i.e., job fairs, UPMC sponsored events, etc.), providing the public with information about UPMC and career opportunities
Strategize with operational, clinical and HR on sources and strategies to attract student talent
Consistently review processes, look for and recommend opportunities for improvement. Work on multiple, concurrent projects as requested with minimal supervision
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and at least one year of recruitment experience required
High School Diploma/GED and three years of recruitment experience required
Proficiency with recruitment related software and database mining required
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Prior university relations/recruitment experience strongly preferred
PHR, SPHR certification, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification or UPMC HCI Strategic HR Business Partner Certification preferred
