Responsibilities

Manage and oversee DOT/transportation survey projects including topographic, LIDAR, UAV, boundary, ROW mapping, and construction layout

Review, certify, and seal survey deliverables for UDOT compliance

Provide technical oversight to field crews and office staff

Ensure adherence to UDOT standards, procedures, and deadlines

Coordinate with UDOT representatives, engineers, and contractors

Support construction staking, ROW, and as-built surveys

Qualification

Active Utah PLS licenseDOT project experienceUDOT standardsBoundaryROW surveyingGPS/GNSS proficiencyProject management experienceDrone 107 LicensingCommunication skillsLeadership skills

Required

Active Utah Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license

8+ Years of professional experience in surveying with at least 5 years of project management experience

DOT or transportation project experience

Strong knowledge of UDOT standards and survey requirements

Experience with boundary, ROW, and construction staking

Strong communication and leadership skills

Preferred

Experience with corridor, highway, or infrastructure projects

Familiarity with modern GPS/GNSS and survey software

Prior experience working directly with UDOT or municipalities

Drone 107 Licensing and experience
