Bookkeeping Manager
Halifax Advisors is a full-service tax advisory firm that caters to business owners and high-income professionals. They are seeking a Bookkeeping Manager to maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial statements, and manage bookkeeping tasks while training junior staff.
Responsibilities
Maintaining accurate financial records
Preparing financial statements
Managing bookkeeping tasks
Training and reviewing the work of junior staff
Providing high quality deliverables to clients and tax team
Recording journal entries
Managing accounts payable and receivable
Sales taxes
Reconciling bank statements
Providing financial reports as needed
Qualification
Required
Strong Bookkeeping and Journal Entry skills
Experience with Financial Statements and Financial Accounting
Proficiency in QuickBooks
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus
