Responsibilities
Review enterprise, network, and cloud architectures to identify security risks, compliance gaps, and required security controls
Design secure architecture patterns, configuration standards, technical designs, and operational documentation aligned with industry and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, PCI-DSS, privacy and health information regulations)
Lead or support security incident response activities, including investigation, containment, root-cause analysis, recovery coordination, and post-incident reporting
Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, escalation procedures, and evidence-collection processes
Provide technical guidance during critical incidents and communicate risks and impacts to leadership and stakeholders
Architect, configure, and tune security technologies such as next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint detection and response (EDR), SIEM platforms, vulnerability management tools, email security solutions, and cloud-native security controls
Support Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and certificate lifecycle management, including issuance, renewal, revocation, key management, and compliance with cryptographic standards
Enhance threat detection capabilities through tuning, integration, and operationalization of security tools and analytics
Contribute to the definition and improvement of enterprise security services, ensuring alignment with risk management, governance, and compliance requirements
Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, threat assessments, remediation plans, and executive-level recommendations
Collaborate with vendors, managed security service providers (MSSPs), auditors, and internal teams to ensure effective deployment and operation of security controls
Support audits, governance reviews, and vendor security assessments with defensible technical documentation
Qualification
Required
10 years of hands-on information security experience in security engineering, security architecture, or security operations roles
At least one recognized security certification, such as: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CCIE Security
Strong experience working in enterprise and hybrid (on-prem/cloud) environments
Ability to work full-time during standard business hours and collaborate with geographically distributed teams
Ability to travel as required to support on-site engagements
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience with EDR platforms, SIEM solutions, vulnerability management tools, and next-generation firewalls
Hands-on experience with cloud and hybrid security controls
Strong understanding of privacy, regulatory, and security frameworks relevant to enterprise and regulated environments
Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to enterprise security initiatives and incident response efforts
Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
