HR Consultant

Greene Resources is seeking an HR Consultant to join a growing and dynamic team. The role involves providing consultative client support on a wide range of HR matters, including compliance with employment laws and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

Provide consultative client support on a wide range of HR matters, including wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence, workers’ compensation, employee relations, and state and federal employment laws
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and client employees regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, and compliance-related inquiries
Interpret client contracts and manage billable work, including accurate time tracking and identification of opportunities for additional services
Monitor compliance communications, prioritize inquiries, independently resolve issues when appropriate, and escalate sensitive matters as needed
Keep internal and external stakeholders informed of potential risk areas and recommend or implement effective solutions
Build and maintain strong relationships with client employees, management, and vendors to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
Conduct HR assessments and prepare professional reports and presentations for clients
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver consistent, high-quality client support
Develop, prepare, and deliver training content, including original and updated webinars
Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education, professional publications, and industry involvement
Local and occasional overnight travel as required

Required

8 to 10 years of professional HR experience, with a focus on employment-related compliance knowledge
Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Advanced working knowledge of state and federal regulations, including COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, PDL, PFL, CFRA, ADA, and ACA
HR certification required (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent)
Microsoft Word (minimum 35 WPM)
Excel (spreadsheet creation, formulas, and data analysis)
PowerPoint (basic training and presentation development)
Outlook (email and calendaring)
Ability to learn and navigate HRIS, benefits, and payroll systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and client demands
Ability to manage multiple inboxes and maintain organized electronic documentation
Proven ability to translate complex HR, payroll, and benefits information into clear guidance
Ability to collaborate effectively with senior and executive leadership
Adaptable and able to manage change in a fast-paced client environment

Preferred

An advanced degree in business, human resources, or a related field is a plus, but not required
Payroll or benefits certifications preferred (FPC, CPP, CEBS)
