They are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage complex accounting activities and support month-end and year-end close processes in their Dallas office.

Responsibilities

Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and accruals
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Mentor and review work of junior accounting staff, as needed
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business needs
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5+ years of progressive accounting experience (public or private)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial close
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
High attention to detail and strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Experience with month-end close in a fast-paced environment
Onsite presence in Dallas, TX (DFW area) required

Preferred

CPA or CPA-eligible
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (Netsuite)
