This position involves monitoring and investigating patient privacy-related issues, running and analyzing reports, and providing compliance and privacy-related guidance.

Responsibilities

Assist with the monitoring and investigation of patient privacy-related issues
Run and analyze reports to identify potential concerns
Conduct comprehensive privacy investigations
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for compliance and privacy-related questions
Conduct privacy-related investigations from beginning to end which includes conducting interviews and ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented

Healthcare experiencePrivacy knowledgeData analysisRegulatory knowledgeCommunication skillsOrganizational skillsProblem-solving skills

Required

Bachelor's Degree required
Two-plus (2+) years of experience in healthcare or privacy required
Demonstrated knowledge of pertinent federal and state laws related to healthcare and ability to comprehend regulatory matters
Proven ability to function independently and exercise judgment in accordance with program goals and objectives
Strong working knowledge of data analysis, including analyzing relevant information and preparing reports
Team oriented and customer focused; performs at a level requiring minimal direct supervision; ability to work in a remote environment
Excellent communication, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
Extensive knowledge and understanding of complex health care systems
Knowledge of and experience in information privacy, access, and release of information laws

Preferred

Certification or licensure in healthcare, privacy or information systems preferred
