Sr Advanced Producibility Engineer

Responsibilities
Conduct design/development audits on work performed at Honeywell Aerospace sites and internal/external supplier sites
Participate in specific development activities throughout the product’s life cycle from concept through production to assure process compliance and efficiency
Assess engineering activities, reporting, and tracking of non-conformances as they pertain to software, hardware, and system standards (customer, military, regulatory, AS9100/AS9115, DO-178(), DO-254, ARP4754A)
Provide assurance that systems, software, and hardware engineering activities comply with defined procedures
Interface with and support product and site level assessments by external customers
Providing feedback and guidance to engineering teams and project management regarding overall design and development compliance
Ensure supplier quality organizations are aligned with Honeywell and customer requirements and expectations
Interface with regulatory personnel and external customers as necessary
Limited domestic travel maybe required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in a field directly related to Aerospace, Systems, Software, or Hardware engineering, e.g., Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Other Bachelor of Science degrees in engineering, math, and relevant natural sciences (e.g., Physics and Space) may be considered
Minimum of 6 years of experience in an engineering development role (e.g., Systems, SW, HW, AEH) OR minimum 6 years overall in a quality assurance role in Systems, SW, HW, AEH auditing. Other experience in quality assurance may be considered
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, or U.S. permanent resident

Ability to evaluate and follow a process
Self-starter/independent worker that demonstrates initiative and sound judgment
Ability to manage and coordinate their work with groups outside the department
Strong communication skills and Interpersonal skills
Skills as an auditor is a plus
Working knowledge/Familiarity with standards, DO-178, DO-254, AS9100, AS9115, and ARP-4754A a plus
Degree in engineering or other related field
Minimum 6 years of engineering experience
Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events
Demonstrated experience in monitoring engineering development activities on projects
