Solutions Application Architect (Full stack) only W2
Kaygen, Inc. is looking for a seasoned Solutions Applications Architect who can bridge business needs and technical strategy. The role involves designing modern microservices-based systems and ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant solutions primarily on AWS.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the Enterprise Architecture strategy, including standards, frameworks, and architectural guidelines
Analyse complex business and technical challenges and design scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions
Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to conceptualize, design, and propose technical solutions aligned with organizational goals
Architect distributed, cloud-native systems using microservices, Kubernetes, and AWS services
Author and review architecture diagrams, solution designs, and technical documentation to ensure clarity, quality, and consistency
Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to engineering teams across multiple technologies and architecture styles
Review technical approaches and designs to ensure functional and non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, reliability, security) are met
Guide teams on DevSecOps practices, CI/CD strategy, testing approaches, performance tuning, and system reliability
Collaborate closely with cybersecurity and web security teams to ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards
Create and maintain high-level architecture diagrams (vehicle-to-cloud, channel-to-cloud, and system-level architectures) for connected technology programs
Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for executive and stakeholder alignment
Qualification
Required
10+ years of overall IT experience with 3+ years in an Architect role
Strong experience with Microservices Architecture and distributed systems
Mastery in at least one programming language: Java, Golang, or Python (design-level expertise; coding not required)
Mandatory AWS Cloud experience, including: Cloud-native application design, AWS security and privacy best practices
Solid understanding of DevOps / DevSecOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment strategies
Experience designing systems using UML or C4 models for consistent architecture representation
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized application architectures
Ability to work effectively in Agile environments using tools like JIRA
Preferred
Knowledge of authentication and authorization standards such as: OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, MTLS, X.509
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF)
Understanding of service mesh architectures and TechRadar practices
Experience maintaining application roadmaps and long-term architectural strategies
Exposure to: Mobile technologies, OCPP protocol, Machine Learning modelling
