Chief Growth Officer
Whitman Advisory is assisting in the hiring of a Chief Growth Officer for a fast-growing investment and advisory firm. This role involves driving organic growth across a multi-firm professional services organization and working closely with senior management to execute growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
Execute the firms organic growth strategy in close partnership with executive leadership
Lead enterprise-wide growth initiatives, including lead generation, marketing strategy, sales enablement, and cross-sell programs
Serve as a core member of the leadership team, contributing to overall platform strategy, growth pacing, and long-term enterprise value creation
Build and oversee centralized growth infrastructure, systems, and reporting to support consistent execution across firms
Align growth initiatives with expanding advisory and specialty service offerings that are increasingly revenue-generating at the platform level
Act as a strategic partner to firm managing partners and partner groups to support execution of firm-led growth initiatives
Collaborate directly with firm leadership to implement growth programs, campaigns, and go-to-market strategies
Help firms translate enterprise growth priorities into actionable plans that align with local markets and client relationships
Ensure effective coordination between centralized growth initiatives and firm-level execution teams
Build trust and credibility with firm partners by operating as a collaborator and enabler—not a replacement for firm leadership
Lead content, digital marketing, and brand strategy, including website presence, thought leadership, and social media
Design and manage lead-generation programs aligned with Ideal Client Profiles and priority service lines
Oversee sales enablement efforts, including CRM processes, lead qualification standards, pipeline management, and conversion analytics
Partner with firms to align marketing investments with enterprise strategy and measurable growth outcomes
Lead cross-sell strategy across tax, advisory, and specialty services
Partner closely with advisory and specialty service leaders to design and execute go-to-market initiatives
Enable firms to confidently identify, introduce, and deliver expanded advisory capabilities to their clients
Help build a scalable commercial engine that supports the firm's evolution into a multi-service, revenue-generating organization
Collaborate closely with executive leadership overseeing people, operations, and integration to ensure growth initiatives align with talent and capacity priorities
Provide regular reporting and insights on growth performance, pipeline health, and execution effectiveness
Support board and investor communications by clearly articulating organic growth strategy, progress, and results
Qualification
Required
Strong CPA firm experience
Experience driving organic growth in professional services, consulting, accounting, or advisory environments
Proven ability to partner effectively with firm leaders and senior professionals in relationship-driven businesses
Strong background in lead generation, marketing strategy, sales enablement, and cross-sell execution
Experience operating within a platform or multi-entity environment, balancing centralized leadership with local execution
Highly collaborative communicator with the ability to influence without authority and build trust across diverse stakeholders
A builder's mindset, energized by creating scalable growth engines within a rapidly growing organization
