Human Resources Operations Manager
BBSI is seeking a highly independent HR & Operations Manager who can take full ownership of people processes, compliance, and internal operations. This role requires balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution to ensure the organization runs smoothly and leadership is supported with accurate information.
Responsibilities
Own the full employee lifecycle: recruitment coordination, onboarding, performance processes, offboarding, and compliance documentation
Serve as the primary resource for managers, providing guidance on policy interpretation, employee relations, performance discussions, and organizational best practices
Maintain all HR policies, ensuring they are updated, compliant, and consistently followed across the organization
Oversee benefits administration, leaves of absence, accommodations, and multi-state compliance requirements
Independently handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and sound judgment
Manage operational processes including vendor coordination, facilities support, renewals, licensing, and policy implementation
Audit internal procedures regularly to identify risks, inconsistencies, or inefficiencies—and proactively resolve them
Support and streamline systems related to IT coordination, equipment tracking, and workflow optimization
Keep operations documentation, employee files, and compliance records organized, accurate, and audit-ready
Collaborate with leadership to ensure HR and operational priorities align with company goals
Provide independent assessment and recommendations to improve processes, reduce risk, and strengthen organizational structure
Partner with managers to drive accountability, create clarity, and maintain operational discipline
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or HR/Operations hybrid roles
Strong understanding of multi-state HR compliance and employment law
Proven ability to manage processes independently with minimal direction
Exceptional organization, follow-through, and decision-making skills
Experience partnering with leadership and influencing outcomes
Comfortable managing both strategic initiatives and tactical, day-to-day tasks
Preferred
HR certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM) preferred but not required
