Accounting Services Associate
REMAX Hawai'i is seeking an Accounting Assistant to perform a variety of accounting tasks and projects to ensure effective, efficient and accurate accounting operations. The role involves verifying vendor invoices, managing billing inquiries, and maintaining an organized filing system.
Responsibilities
Verifies the accuracy of vendor invoices and corresponds with vendors if any discrepancies occur
Generates payment to vendors on a routine schedule and in a timely manner
Reconciles invoices, credit card statements and bank statements
Manages agent billing and responds to billing inquiries
Maintains an organized and accurate filing system
Assists in year-end closing and tax forms
Keeps each work area tidy & professionally maintained
Receives and sorts incoming mail and deliveries, and manages outgoing mail
Manages office supplies inventory and places orders as necessary
Additional duties may be added as necessary
Qualification
Required
High school diploma required
Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and able to effectively prioritize
Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger processes
Competency in using personal computer and business solutions software skills in software programs such as Excel and Outlook
Ability to manage time effectively to maintain a high level of accuracy
Advanced attention to detail
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred
Associates or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
Accounts payable, billing or bookkeeping experience preferred
