Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure, tools, and material requirements
Perform minor maintenance on equipment
Assume responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment
Observe and practice safety procedures and policies
Other duties as required

Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent experience
Two-year vocational welding program or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience in welding
Manual and machine TIG/MIG
Understanding of the use of measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, tapes, etc
Qualified to read blueprints
Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals
Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded
Subject completed welding tasks to the appropriate inspections
Strong understanding of TIG/MIG welding procedures & processes
Must have experience working with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and AWS welding symbols
Ability to perform welds that pass a visual inspection and destructive test
Ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, squares, rules, and dial calipers)
Basic math skills; must be able to perform conversions and basic calculations
Knowledge of welding machines and setup
Ability to operate hand/air tools and electric grinders
Attendance is an essential job function
