National Hardware Specialist, Automation – Remote – 80% Travel

Responsibilities

Exercise judgment, based on previous experience, practices and precedents, to identify and solve unique and complex problems with laboratory automation systems
Support product and revenue growth through high quality execution of implementation processes with varying degrees of complexity
Provide technical troubleshooting, both on-site and via remote phone support, to experienced field service engineers
Work with limited supervision within established procedures and practices in collaboration with teammates and the installation team to build productive partnerships
Utilize mentoring and training abilities to transfer vital knowledge and technical skills to internal and external customers

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 3+ years relevant industry or military experience; or Associate's Degree with 5+ years relevant industry or military experience
Experience must include complex electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair
Highly flexible and willing to travel domestically at least 80% of the time (based on the need of the position) at times on short notice (1 day), working from a home-based office located within one hour of a major metropolitan airport

Preferred

Proven ability in customer facing interpersonal written and verbal communication and facilitation skills
Strong computer skills (MS Office) knowledge and network/LIS communication and troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with Standard Laboratory Practices, including Quality Control, record keeping, and regulatory requirements
