JD Edwards Business Analyst
Advanced Electric Systems is part of Quanta, which builds infrastructure for the energy transition. The JD Edwards Business Analyst is responsible for understanding business processes and translating solutions into technical specifications, acting as a liaison between various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Understand business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement
Translate approved solutions into technical specifications and/or procedural modifications
Act as a liaison between Corporate, business unit, and IT development and support functions
Communicate and collaborate with customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
Participate in the development and maintenance of thorough, current functional and systems documentation, business process flow diagrams, and end user training materials
Participate in the development and execution of well-designed test plans, testing activities, and test data
Participate in data conversion and merger/acquisition activities
Engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
Design solutions for a variety of complex problems
Liaise with many business users in different locations and countries
Coordinate and schedule staff assignments to ensure coverage for all project, support, conversion, and acquisition activities
Act as a mentor to lesser experienced Business Analysts
Qualification
Required
Detailed functional knowledge of JD Edwards AP business process model
Ability to derive requirements for process change/addition to applications using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, and task and workflow analysis
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish nice to have from the underlying true needs
Participate in development and maintenance of thorough, current functional and systems documentation, business process flow diagrams, and end user training materials
Participate in the development and execution of well-designed test plans, testing activities, and test data
Participate in data conversion and merger/acquisition activities
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
Education: Bachelor's degree from accredited university in business, MIS, or equivalent field. Additional years' experience can be used to substitute for degree
3 - 7+ year's business experience
Travel Percentage: 30-40%
JD Edwards Enterprise One 9.0 or later
5+ Years working with JD Edwards AP as well with any of the related modules like General Ledger, Job Cost, Service Billing, etc
Experience working with 3rd party applications for reporting (Hubble, etc.)
Experience implementing/rolling out JD Edwards to a new operating units
Experience working with year-end AP processes like W-2, etc
Experience as a team leader with direct responsibility managing employees
Experience in preparing testing scripts and training documents
Experience in preparing process flows
Participated in data mapping / data conversion activities during implementation / rollout
Participated in Conference Room Pilots / User Acceptance Testing
Delivered super user and/or end user Training
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project
