Responsibilities
Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings, subassemblies, and final assemblies per engineering requirements and company drafting standards
Create and maintain parts lists/BOMs, drawing files, revision control, and pre-release documentation for customer orders
Verify and check drawings, dimensions, and parts lists for accuracy
Assist engineers with calculations, design documentation, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and systems development (drafting standards, parts-list systems)
Support production and manufacturing with technical drawing clarifications and assembly documentation
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process effectiveness efforts to improve quality and customer service
Contribute to exceptional customer experiences through accurate, timely deliverables and professional interactions
Maintain clean, professional documentation and workspace; support branch/process compliance with company standards
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Formal education or combination of education and experience in drafting or mechanical engineering technology
Minimum ~1–2 years mechanical drafting experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred
Proficient with CAD software (or similar 2D/3D CAD tools); strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook)
Familiarity with BOM management, revision control, and drafting standards
Understanding and practical use of GD&T, dimensioning standards, and fabrication/assembly drawing practices
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and suppliers
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, exercise independent judgment on routine tasks, and escalate complex issues
Preferred
Minimum ~1–2 years mechanical drafting experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred
