Responsibilities

Continuous Process Improvement: Lead and drive a continuous process improvement solution that analyzes and resolves production issues
FPY Analysis: Daily monitoring and analysis of First Pass Yield (FPY) data to identify trends, outliers, and recurring failures
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead investigations into production failures using standard methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone). Perform quality deep dives on electrical assemblies down to the component or PCBA level to identify effects and root causes for both electrical and mechanical assembly issues
Corrective Actions: Implementing robust Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to eliminate repeat defects
Defect Reduction: Collaborate with the design team to feedback manufacturing data, reducing "No Trouble Found" (NTF) rates and improving test coverage and customer experience
Non-Conformance Management: Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for incoming electrical components and internal line failures
Process Design: Help develop and maintain efficient manufacturing processes for electrical assemblies, wiring harnesses, and electromechanical integrations
Work Instructions: Assist in the creation and updating of detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and visual work instructions for assembly and test stations
Test Equipment: Create and maintain end-of-line electrical testers and fixtures. Assist in the commissioning of new test equipment
NPI Support: Participate in the stage gate development process with R&D during New Product Development to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT)
Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste, balance line flow, and improve operator efficiency
Preventative Maintenance: Identify and develop processes for preventative maintenance to reduce down time and defect rates
