Responsibilities
Assume a lead role in managing relationships with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other business partners to proactively ensure the quality and accuracy of the content on an ongoing basis
Interface with SMEs at every level of the organization as part of the content review and ad hoc RFP question process
Proactively create and maintain proposal responses via Qvidian software to support evolving business and electronic proposal strategy changes
Stay abreast of changes within categories by reviewing product/marketing emails and attending relevant meetings and promptly making database updates
Develop a high level of expertise and in-depth knowledge on assigned topics/categories and possess the ability to research and complete questions independently
Apply best practice editorial and content management processes, adhering to the Style Guide and Qvidian best practice guidelines
Assist proposal writers in creating ad hoc responses for RFPs relative to assigned topics/categories
Support activities focused on increasing adoption, utilization, usability and user satisfaction for operational systems and content output. Identify and deliver training/education in support of these activities
Be proficient in e2e, Qvidian, Casetrack and other tools and software related to the position
Collaborate with UnitedHealth Group service units and sister companies to assure database integrity as well as appropriate language and overall messaging
Customize responses, as needed, to deliver maximum value to our internal and external customers
Possess initiative to learn emerging product and offering updates, gain a solid understanding and share knowledge with team members and proposal writers
Apply Style Guide principles to proposal content and responses, ensuring language is professional and appropriate for external use
Meet minimum quality, productivity and service metrics
Qualification
Required
3+ years of health care industry experience in a proposal writing, content management role, marketing, sales, or communications
3+ years of experience with project management and ability to deliver results as part of a team and/or as an individual contributor
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (formatting experience and/or working with templates)
Proven advanced writing, editing, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Proven excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage and deliver multiple tasks efficiently, effectively and on time in a metrics-based organization
Preferred
Solid desire and/or additional coursework/certifications in Technical Writing, Journalism, English, and/or Communications
Qvidian Proposal Automation software experience
Solid Web-based communications and content management system experience
Proposal and/or advocacy/account management experience
