Responsibilities

Lead the development and maintenance of current and future state enterprise architecture blueprints to ensure scalability and reliability
Chair architectural review boards and govern compliance with state technical standards and policies
Drive the strategic roadmap for technology portfolio management and application rationalization across multiple agencies
Mentor and guide entry-level architects and technical teams on architectural best practices and emerging technologies
Collaborate with executive leadership to translate complex business capabilities into integrated IT strategy and solutions
Evaluate and select high-impact emerging technologies to solve cross-agency business problems
Oversee the design and implementation of complex cloud and hybrid infrastructure architectures

Required

Authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite of employment
Expert-level Systems Thinking and strategic planning capabilities are required
Advanced proficiency in Enterprise Architecture frameworks is required
Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
Extensive experience with cloud computing architectures (Azure, AWS) and legacy modernization strategies
Exceptional communication skills for negotiating technical decisions with non-technical executive stakeholders
Proven experience in establishing and managing architectural governance processes
Ability to mentor and develop technical staff
Successful background check results are required for employment in this position

Preferred

Knowledge of multiple IT disciplines
Skill in identifying new technologies to provide innovative solutions to complex issues
Ability to propose strategies identifying need and impact
Ability to lead and mentor staff
