Responsibilities
Monthly PnL reporting for operating subsidiary and consolidated results
Engages with business partners to both understand their financials and to optimize business results. Understands and is able to recommend action based on the link between financial metrics and business performance. Challenges business partner assumptions when necessary
Comfortable creating and implementing financial and non-financial performance measurements. Able to design innovative and insightful financial metrics
Partner with business stakeholders to understand their financial needs, support company leadership to implement financial and operational goals, and apply financial insights to improve decision-making
Build and maintain sophisticated forecasting and analytical models
Level-up and continually improve internal reporting through automation and system optimization. Identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with stakeholders on resolution
Effectively engage with accounting and commercial teams to complete analysis and reporting
Provide financial guidance and insights for product, pricing and other business decisions
Qualification
Required
BS/BA degree in Finance or related field
5+ years of experience in progressive FP&A roles
NetSuite and PowerBI proficiency
Advanced Excel financial modeling; SQL/database management experience a plus
Solid understanding of the retail, e-commerce, and direct-to-consumer industries and KPI's
Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with senior business leaders and understand the financial drivers of their business
Experience working with accounting and/or planning software; NetSuite and PowerBI experience required
Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills. Ability to present financial information in an engaging and visually effective manner
Excellent attention to detail, well organized
Highly collaborative work style and ability to multi-task and work under pressure with multiple deadlines
Willingness to take on responsibility above stated role and complete more executional work when needed (startup culture)
A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude with a bias towards action; a self-starter who takes initiative rather than waiting for direction
Complete work with integrity and positive attitude
Preferred
Consumer Packaged Goods, Pet Food or relevant industry experience highly preferred
