This role involves a hybrid of field operations and technical office data analysis, assisting in conducting various types of surveys and transforming raw data into accurate maps and records.

Responsibilities
Field Survey Support: Assist in conducting topographic, boundary, and construction surveys
Preparation and Research: Perform necessary research, calculations, analysis, and document preparation for upcoming survey field work
Data Processing: Review and process survey results, including field notes, data, photos, plan markups, and structure inventory sheets, to produce accurate CAD drawings, charts, maps, and legal documents
Technical Drafting: Draft Plats of Highway, survey base maps, boundary and ALTA Surveys and Preliminary Legal Descriptions writing
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of field and/or office land surveying experience
Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to teamwork
Reliable and maintain daily communication with your team
Flexibility in support of dynamic project schedules
Maintain positive client, vendor, and internal team member relationships
Detail-oriented and committed to your own professional growth
Holding or pursuing an LSIT or CST certification
Proficient in MicroStation or AutoCAD
Solid grasp of robotic total stations, GPS, and data collectors
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in varying weather conditions and uneven terrain
Ability to perform tasks such as bending, digging with a hand shovel, cutting brush, and carrying equipment/stakes (5-50 lbs.)
Must be eligible to drive company or personal vehicles to various jobsites as required
Ability to perform occasional out-of-town assignments as project needs dictate
Preferred
Knowledge of Drone/UAS surveying methods and photogrammetry software (e.g., Pix4D, Reality Capture, Global Mapper) is a plus
