Responsibilities
Leads user adoption training for AI systems and resources, along with cross-functional teams for rollout of AI systems. Mentors, provides guidance and feedback to staff
Defines and owns the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI initiatives
Translates business needs into technical requirements and business strategies
Designs, develops, and deploys AI models and applications using modern frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face)
Administers and maintains existing AI projects, ensuring operational stability, performance optimization, and timely updates
Oversees AI operations responsibilities such as model monitoring, retraining, and governance
Designs and configures data pipelines, APIs (Advanced Programming Interface), and structured or unstructured data
Enables AI integration with core city systems
Ensures compliance with AI governance standards, including fairness, transparency, and privacy
Monitors performance, gathers feedback, and iterates product features
Conducts research on emerging AI trends, tools, and technologies
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
Five (5) years of relevant experience
A valid and unrestricted driver's license with two (2) years of licensed driving
Preferred
7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years focused on AI/ML
Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
Experience with generative AI, LLMs, or NLP applications
Proven experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager in AI or data-driven products
Strong proficiency in Python and AI/ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and MLOps pipelines
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Familiarity with agile methodologies and product lifecycle management
Certifications in AI/ML or product management is a plus
