Responsibilities
Lead the structuring, underwriting, and execution of leveraged finance transactions for corporate and financial sponsor clients (leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, project financings, unitranche & mezzanine financings, refinancings, recapitalizations)
Oversee critical components of due diligence, credit underwriting, and legal documentation review, including commitment papers, credit agreements, and indentures
Prepare and present marketing materials, client pitch books, investor presentations, and participate in due diligence meetings
Foster and develop client relationships across sponsor and corporate networks; actively participate in client meetings with CEOs, CFOs, private equity firms
Collaborate seamlessly across internal teams—including Managing Directors, Associates, Analysts, and sector bankers—on cross-functional deal execution
Qualification
Required
5+ years of leveraged finance experience—preferably with exposure to energy, power or grid/infrastructure related deals (power, infrastructure, oil & gas, energy transition or project finance). Strong track record in credit underwriting, financial modeling, covenant structuring, and deal execution
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, credit analysis, accounting, valuation methodologies (LBOs, cash flow forecasting)
Excellent written and verbal abilities, with strong presentation and negotiation skills
Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university or an MBA / advanced degree
High attention to detail and sound judgment; ability to steer multiple complex transactions simultaneously; self-motivation with an entrepreneurial, team-oriented mindset
Must be based in or willing to relocate to New York, NY
