Responsibilities

Develop engineering deliverables and coordinate with Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls Engineers, as well as supporting functions such as Document Control, Sourcing, and Finance
Drive vendor selection where required, and ensure supplier documentation and performance meet project requirements
Maintain and report project schedule status and documentation to the Lead Engineer and/or stakeholders
Act as the central point of contact for assigned projects, design reviews, installation support, and commissioning activities
Design, plan, manage, and execute plant and equipment capital expenditure projects within approved budgets
Conduct cost-benefit analyses for process or equipment changes and demonstrate return on investment

Required

Experience in an industrial plant or process engineering environment
Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and execute capital projects from design through to installation
Strong organization, scheduling, and time management skills
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Clear, concise written and verbal communication
Team-oriented mindset with good judgment under changing conditions
Ability to travel domestically up to 35% of the time
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
5+ years of relevant engineering experience, including direct involvement in executing and managing projects

Preferred

Working knowledge of project management principles or tools (e.g., scheduling, budgeting, vendor coordination)
French or Spanish language skills
Experience with industrial engineering – direct experience in water treatment or chemical preferred
Project management skills & or certifications (ie. PMP)
Engineer in training certification
