Seasonal Tax Accountant
Find Great People (FGP) is seeking a professional Seasonal Tax Accountant to join a growing team in Greenville, SC. The role involves preparing tax returns, analyzing financial statements, and identifying tax strategies to minimize client liability during the tax season.
Responsibilities
Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals (1040), corporations (1120/1120-S), partnerships (1065)
Analyze financial statements, source documents, and client-provided information to ensure accuracy and completeness
Identify potential tax credits, deductions, and strategies to minimize client tax liability
Assist in review of tax returns prepared by junior staff, as assigned
Conduct research on tax issues
Stay informed on current tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements relevant to the season
Use tax software and firm technology platforms to input, review, and file returns
Qualification
Required
3+ years of tax accounting experience
Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals (1040), corporations (1120/1120-S), partnerships (1065)
Analyze financial statements, source documents, and client-provided information to ensure accuracy and completeness
Identify potential tax credits, deductions, and strategies to minimize client tax liability
Assist in review of tax returns prepared by junior staff, as assigned
Conduct research on tax issues
Stay informed on current tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements relevant to the season
Use tax software and firm technology platforms to input, review, and file returns
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
1-3 years of tax prep experience in a CPA firm
Experience with MS Office Suites – Including strong Excel skills
