Lab Technician, Quality Assurance (Onsite)
RTX is a recognized leading producer of the world's most powerful and dependable jet engines, seeking a dedicated individual to support their Hollow Fan Blade Material Control Lab. The role involves preparing and evaluating metallurgical test specimens, supporting the development of new processes and materials, and providing training and development for support contractors.

Responsibilities
Preparation and evaluation of metallurgical test specimens
Support the development of new processes and materials through the performance of metallurgical preparation and evaluations
Provide training and development of support contractors
Support the scheduling of workloads and job assignments
Interface with production management as well as the salary hourly workforce to explain metallurgical results
Participate in root cause and corrective action
Support the development of new processes and materials through the performance of metallurgical preparation and evaluations
Participate and lead continuous improvement events
Qualification
Required
AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
A minimum of 1 year experience in the area of metallurgical sample preparation, evaluation and report documentation
Quality background and general familiarity with the performance of root cause and corrective action investigations
Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and procedures to assess the conformance of test specimens to meet requirements
