Responsibilities
Manage workers’ compensation claims for Georgia and Florida in compliance with state statutes, regulations, and best practices
Investigate claims by obtaining statements, reviewing medical records, and analyzing compensability
Establish, monitor, and adjust claim reserves in accordance with company guidelines
Coordinate medical care, including communication with medical providers, nurse case managers, and vocational rehabilitation vendors
Evaluate and process indemnity and medical payments accurately and timely
Identify subrogation opportunities and refer as appropriate
Collaborate with defense counsel on litigated claims, including strategy development, settlement evaluation, and hearing preparation
Negotiate settlements within assigned authority and recommend settlement strategies as needed
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the claims management system
Communicate effectively with injured workers, employers, attorneys, and internal partners
Participate in claim reviews, audits, and quality assurance initiatives
Qualification
Required
3+ years of Workers' Compensation claims adjusting experience
GA and FL Adjuster license
Demonstrated hands-on experience handling Georgia and Florida workers' compensation claims
Strong knowledge of GA and FL workers' compensation laws, benefits, and litigation processes
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
Experience handling litigated claims
Experience working with TPAs, carriers, or self-insured programs
CPCU, AIC, or other industry designations
