Learning and Development Manager
GEx Search is seeking a Learning and Development Manager with a background in law firms. This role is responsible for leading and delivering technology and professional development training across all U.S. offices, overseeing training initiatives, and ensuring skill advancement for attorneys and staff.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of firm-wide training programs for attorneys and staff
Supervise training team members and manage scheduling, performance, and training rollout
Develop, update, and maintain the Firm Training Curriculum and all supporting instructional materials
Deliver engaging and tailored new hire onboarding and continuing education programs
Conduct personalized coaching sessions and technology adoption workshops
Collaborate with IT, HR, and Practice Leadership to identify learning needs and implement solutions
Track and report training effectiveness using feedback, attendance, and usage metrics
Support software upgrades, rollouts, and technology initiatives through communication and training plans
Stay current on legal technology trends and apply best practices in adult learning
Maintain records, schedules, and documentation for training sessions and learner development
Qualification
Required
Current or Recent Law firm experience is required
5+ years of experience in Learning & Development or Technology Training within a law firm
Strong background in legal applications such as iManage, CompareDocs, Elite 3E, PowerPDF, and Microsoft Office 365
Experience managing a small training or learning team, including scheduling, project assignments, and performance oversight
Excellent communicator with proven success in designing and delivering engaging training across multiple formats (in-person, eLearning, webinars, 1:1 coaching)
