Responsibilities
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple rooftops
Maintain GL accuracy, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with GAAP and dealership accounting standards
Lead portions of the close process, including schedules, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Support daily accounting functions such as AP, AR, billing, cash posting, and inventory accounting
Work within the dealership’s DMS (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, etc.) to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy
Strengthen internal controls, audit processes, and adherence to corporate policies
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and improve reporting efficiency
Partner with sales, service, parts, and F&I leadership to ensure accurate financial tracking and operational alignment
Provide guidance to accounting staff and support onboarding of new team members
Assist with audits, tax preparation, lender reporting, and OEM financial requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong understanding of GAAP and dealership financial statements
Proficiency with dealership DMS platforms (CDK, Reynolds, Dealertrack, etc.)
Advanced Excel and analytical skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Strong communication and leadership skills
Preferred
3–5+ years of dealership accounting experience (multi‑store experience preferred)
