The Financial Consultant will conduct on-site and virtual education and guidance meetings, assist clients with retirement plans and investment options, and collaborate with internal partners to enhance member outcomes.

Responsibilities
Deliver in-person/virtual education and guidance sessions and group meetings/seminars: Counsel participants on their retirement plans and other available investment options to help them retain and increase assets and improve their financial wellness. Provide authoritative information upon which important personal financial planning decisions are based using income and advice/investment tools
Proactively address retention and asset consolidation/rollover opportunities
Educate and assist clients as appropriate in account opening for various products
Collaborate with key internal partners: Progress the sales pipeline, optimize referrals, and enhance member outcomes
Implement disciplined approach to practice management: Strategically identify and prioritize opportunities, plan for and follow-up on meetings, and maintain consistent records in CRM system to enable real-time tracking
Collaborate with the relationship management team to support and strengthen plan sponsor engagement initiatives
Respond to opportunities to deepen relationships with members: Work with members to understand their holistic financial landscape, goals, and objectives and to make referrals to key partners, when appropriate
Communicate complex financial information and recommendations to members in a clear and accessible manner that encourages taking action to implement
Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education: Remain in compliance with regulatory requirements. Continuously seek and apply knowledge of the overall industry, economic and market environments, sectors, conditions, and trends
Exercise diligent care in operations: Ensure thorough and responsible handling of all duties and tasks to mitigate risk and adhere to regulatory responsibilities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or directly related experience
Series 6 (or 7) and 63 Securities licenses required or pass exam within 120 day of hire
Travel is 30-40% annually
Strong Customer Service focus with a desire to strengthen relationships with participants and improve retirement outcomes for those we serve
Ability to drive results to the line of business within the annual goals set
Strong communication Skills: verbal, writing, listening, and presenting
Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking ability, and high level of personal motivation to take self-directed action
Strong ministry skills: compassion, empathy, encouragement, and motivation
Ability to closely monitor annual travel/promotional budget
Must have complete confidentiality regarding plan sponsor and participant personalized data and all GuideStone business related information
Preferred
CFP, CRPC, CEBS and/or other professional designations preferred
Member of SBC Church preferred
Experience providing financial and retirement plan education preferred
In-depth understanding of employer sponsored retirement plans and IRAs preferred
