Legal Secretary
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and edit legal documents, including contracts, agreements, resolutions, and corporate filings
Assist in the preparation of documents for mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions
Assist with all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including due diligence, document preparation and closing activities
Conduct research on property titles, zoning regulations, and other relevant legal issues
Prepare and file various real estate-related documents, such as deeds, mortgages, and lease agreements
Working knowledge of filing procedures, requirements and e-filing with Secretary of State office, in addition to federal, state, and local courts
Schedule appointments including meeting invites, video conference details, meal requests and maintenance of attorney calendars
Support attorneys in all stages of corporate transactions, including due diligence, closings, and post-closing integration
Assist with billing and time entry as needed
Coordinate with external counsel, clients, and other parties involved in transactions
Maintain organized and accurate paper and electronic files
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Experience in providing essential support for attorneys handling mergers, acquisitions, entity foundations and corporate filings

Strong knowledge of real estate law and procedures
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in legal research tools and software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems, NetDocs experience is a plus
The ability to lift a minimum of ten pounds
High School Diploma
A minimum of three years of Corporate & Real Estate experience
