Responsibilities
Lead architectural design from concept, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation through project completion
Prepare and review architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Ensure design intent is maintained throughout all project phases
Coordinate with consultants including structural, MEP, civil, and landscape teams
Ensure all work complies with local building codes, zoning regulations, accessibility standards, and life-safety requirements
Prepare and submit drawings for planning, permitting, and regulatory approvals
Act as Architect of Record where required
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients
Present design concepts and technical solutions clearly and professionally
Incorporate client feedback while maintaining design integrity and compliance
Respond to RFIs and submittals
Review shop drawings and material samples
Conduct site visits and inspections to verify conformance with contract documents
Address construction issues and coordinate solutions with contractors
Mentor junior staff and support team development
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets
Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
