Process Improvement Engineer Internshp

The Process Improvement Engineer Internship role involves identifying process gaps, performing discrete event simulation studies, and supporting the delivery of findings and recommendations under mentorship.
Responsibilities
Identifies current process gaps using observations, data collection, data analysis, process mapping and flow under guidance and mentorship provided by Clinical Transformation
Applies principles, techniques, and procedures to design and perform a discrete event simulation study, closely working with their assigned Clinical Transformation Mentor
Supports the summary and delivery of findings, recommendations, and action plans, closely working with their assigned Clinical Transformation Mentor
Supports the development of metrics, dashboards, and reports, and identifies areas of improvement using various analytical tools and techniques
Understands professional concepts/ standards of own work area, regulations, strategies, and operating standards while working virtually
Qualification
Required
Currently a rising senior undergraduate, Bachelor's recipient, or Graduate Degree candidate
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written, required
Knowledge of statistics, time studies, process balancing, continuous improvement techniques, workflow measurement, statistical process control, and operational research methods
Preferred
Degree concentration in Industrial Engineering, Systems Science, MBA in healthcare, or Organizational Management, preferred
