Responsibilities
Process and manage commercial loan servicing requests, including:
Maturity date extensions
Payment term changes
Borrowing entity or guarantor changes
Collateral releases
Assumptions and other post-closing modifications
Coordinate with borrowers, borrower counsel, internal credit teams, and loan officers to complete servicing requests
Review and process commercial loan documentation such as promissory notes, loan agreements, mortgages, guarantees, and related documents
Ensure timely and accurate updates to loan systems and servicing platforms
Maintain complete, accurate, and well-organized electronic loan files
Perform peer reviews and booking audits on loans processed by counterparts
Verify proper documentation, approvals, and system updates are completed accurately
Assist with internal and external audit requests, including document retrieval and research
Support records management, file tracking, and loan file requests
Upload and review documentation in imaging and record-keeping systems
Prepare activity tracking, reporting, and metrics as needed
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to resolve questions or issues
Participate in department projects and system initiatives as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2–3 years of commercial loan servicing, loan operations, or commercial lending experience
Hands-on experience reviewing and processing commercial loan documentation
Experience handling post-closing servicing requests and loan modifications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred
Experience with Salesforce and/or GoDocs is a strong plus
Recent commercial loan experience preferred, but candidates with prior commercial experience and strong foundational knowledge will be considered
Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
