InternCedar Holdings is a global institutional family office based in New York, NY. They are seeking a Biotech Equity Capital Markets Intern to conduct deep due diligence on healthcare sector companies, working closely with a portfolio manager and analysts to analyze various market opportunities.
Investment Management
Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth due diligence and primary research on potential and existing healthcare investments
Participate in and lead meetings with senior C-suite management of public companies
Analyze and interpret a wide range of information (including clinical and preclinical data, scientific literature, sell-side equity research reports, diverse expert views)
Conduct key opinion leader (KOL) and physician interviews
Draft investment memos and present to PM and analyst
Learn how to make informed investment recommendations on companies, scientific advances, and industry trends
Qualification
Required
This position REQUIRES a background in the biological or medical sciences
Strong academic background and formal college-level biology or medical sciences coursework
Extremely strong research and note-taking skills
Scientific laboratory or clinical research experience a huge plus
Basic knowledge and understanding of public equities and capital markets
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight once onboarded
Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multitask multiple assignments
Willingness to work after hours and during weekends on occasion, within reason
An appreciation for the ability to connect with business builders and entrepreneurs
Preferred
Experience or coursework in financial analysis, modeling, and valuation strongly preferred
