Responsibilities
Lead a well-stocked, well-maintained department
Provide superior customer service
Perform supervisory responsibilities, such as scheduling work, and training / developing Partners
Assist with inventory control; loads, unloads, and moves product
Train Partners; direct work; address complaints; resolve issues; build / follow up on production plans and their execution
Assist in all technical areas, as needed
Perform Representative / Specialist duties frequently
Coach on superior customer service
Take orders from customers by telephone or in person
Answer customer questions regarding products; assist them with selections
Use suggestive selling techniques and advanced product knowledge and experience to meet customer needs and build department sales
Merchandise products effectively
Slice, package, label, rotate, and cull products for poor quality
Comply with department / Store operating procedures
Clean / sanitize sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment
Ensure / oversee effective production planning and execution of supporting processes
Apply advanced knowledge of current trends in beauty for hair care, skin care, and makeup
Oversee a specific area of the business: Service Case, Production, Cheese Shop or Catering
Assist with inventory control, including planning portion of Fresh Production Planner (FPP) ; follow up on FPP inventory functions; ensure Perpetual Adjustment Walk (PAW) walks are complete
Assist with ordering and event order management (EOMs)
Assist with training on new systems, tools, processes, and product roll-outs; follow up with Partners as needed to reinforce or retrain
Serve / package products at customer's request
Educate customers on preparation / reheating instructions of prepared foods
Prepackage condiments (sauces, dressings) for prepared food items
Cut, slice, dice, chop, food in preparation for chef
Perform lead responsibilities for the department and may serve as backup to Produce Manager
Serve as dedicated lead over the in-store production work & Production Partners
Keep up with current nursery field-related trends
Qualification
Required
an associate's degree or 6 months of related experience
communication and interpersonal skills
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
Associate's degree (AA), or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or
6+ months of related experience and / or training, or
Combination of equivalent education / training
Completion of Company Orientation, food safety and sanitation training, and eCommerce Online Ordering training
Expert knowledge of department production stations, including quality standards, set-up, operation, cleaning, and maintenance of all equipment
Ability to read and interpret documents (e.g., safety rules, operating / maintenance instructions, production planners, procedure manuals)
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Partners
Ability to apply common sense / understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Function in a fast-paced, retail environment, in detailed and precise tasks
Work with Customers, staying attentive to their needs
