GROUP SALES MANAGER
Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Group Sales Manager to join their sales team. The role involves maximizing revenue through selling hotel services, conducting site inspections, and preparing event orders while ensuring excellent client service and communication with various departments.

Responsibilities
Move throughout property to conduct site inspections. Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients
Prepare weekly resumes and event orders to discuss with all departments to ensure the proper servicing of all groups. Submit weekly activity report to ADOS on a timely basis
Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts
Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients
Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel and review competition
Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account
Represent hotel at trade shows. Set up exhibits involving bending, stooping, lifting and reaching overhead
Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
Provides information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
Demonstrates personal integrity
Uses effective listening skills
Demonstrates self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm
Manages group or interpersonal conflict effectively
Informs and/or updates the executives, the peers and the subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner
Manages time well and possesses strong organizational skills

Uses problem solving methodology for decision making and follow up
Makes collections calls if necessary
Qualification
Required
Prior Marriott Hotel Sales experience
Strong organizational skills
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
High level of creativity
Preferred
CI/TY and Lightspeed experience
