Responsibilities
Communicate complex policies and procedures in a helpful and professional manner to campus investigators and department support staff to address questions regarding existing contracts and grants
Independently review proposals and/or negotiate moderately complex, grants, subgrants, and/or others as assigned
Initiate review of contracts and subcontracts
Develop and participate in assigned special projects and collaborate and support training efforts for junior staff members
Qualification
Required
Provides guidance to UCLA faculty and staff in proposal development and award management
Reviews and authorizes the submission of electronic and paper proposals
Negotiates, accepts and executes moderately complex contract and grant awards from government and non-profit sponsors
Institutional administration for a portfolio of routine and non-routine research, public service and training of pre-award and non-financial post-award activities supported by government and non-profit entities
Communicates complex policies and procedures in a helpful and professional manner to campus investigators and department support staff
Independently reviews proposals and/or negotiates moderately complex grants, subgrants, and/or others as assigned
Initiates review of contracts and subcontracts
Develops and participates in assigned special projects and collaborates and supports training efforts for junior staff members
Has delegated signature authority by the Regents of the University of California and operational policies under the current threshold based on direct costs
Professionally represents OCGA demonstrating skill, enthusiasm, positive problem solving, commitment and loyalty to the profession and the organization
