Responsibilities
Conduct thorough legal research, drafting, and analysis to support case strategy and client representation
Manage a high-volume caseload with precision, ensuring timely and accurate execution of legal tasks
Provide expert guidance on legal and regulatory risks, leveraging case law and statutory interpretation
Negotiate effectively with opposing counsel to achieve favourable case resolutions
Travel as needed to various courts across Virginia for hearings, trials, and procedural matters
Collaborate closely with the Managing Attorney to report on case activity, outcomes, and progress
Qualification
Required
0–3 years of experience in bankruptcy, collections, or civil litigation, including active participation in court proceedings and familiarity with relevant regulations
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Proven ability to analyze complex case law and deliver actionable legal recommendations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a track record of clarity and professionalism
Strong time management and organizational abilities to thrive in a demanding, deadline-driven environment
Preferred
Additional licensure in GA, SC, TN, FL, MD, MI, OH, or UBE passage is a strong advantage but not required
