Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and configure Confluent Kafka clusters, topics, partitions, replication strategies, and security configurations across on-prem and cloud environments (including Confluent Cloud)
Automate provisioning, deployment, scaling, and maintenance using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Jenkins, and other CI/CD technologies
Build automated, self-service capabilities for topic creation, schema governance, ACLs, and resource provisioning to streamline engineering workflows
Use Ansible, or similar tools to automate system configurations, application deployments, and middleware setups
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrating Kafka components and infrastructure changes using Jenkins, Git, and other DevOps toolchains
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in DevOps, Confluent Kafka, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles
Experience in automating Kafka infrastructure using Terraform
Hands-on knowledge on managing configurations of Kafka using Ansible
Experience with Observability and Monitoring (Datadog and Splunk)
AWS Cloud experience. Need to have working knowledge on EC2s, ALBs, Volumes, Sec Groups, and should comfortably navigate through networking challenges
Should have solid understanding of system design principles of distributed architecture
