Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations for the commercial roofing department
Coordinate project scheduling, material procurement, and crew assignments
Work closely with project managers, estimators, and field supervisors to ensure efficient execution
Monitor project budgets, job costing, and operational KPIs
Implement and refine operational workflows, safety processes, and quality standards
Maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients
Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of field and operations staff
Troubleshoot project or operational issues to minimize delays and maintain profitability
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and industry regulations
Contribute to strategic planning and operational forecasting
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in commercial roofing construction operations or project management
Proven leadership experience overseeing teams and operational processes
Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems (TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, metal, etc.)
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred
Experience with job-costing software (e.g., AccuLynx, FCS, JobNimbus, Procore)
Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes in Florida
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
